Streamlined contemporary done beautifully! I love the warm wood grains of the built-in cabinets next to the sleek, stone fireplace facade. The side-by-side combination of textures gives this focal wall depth and dimension. I also like the fact that the television was discreetly placed in the cabinetry (on the right) rather than hung above the fireplace. The scale of the television would have likely overpowered the low-profile fireplace if it was hung above it. The homeowner achieved a clean, uncluttered, and contemporary look! This feature wall is giving me design inspiration for our own home... Hope it's getting your design juices flowing too!
