Feature Friday: A Hole-in-One Kitchen

I love this classic kitchen designed by Utah-based firm Alice Lane Home!  It's timeless and universally appealing, which are important for resale. Although you may not have plans to sell your home, it is always wise to consider resale value when investing $$$$ on a kitchen remodel.  Your home is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. :)

The design elements in this kitchen that appeal to me include:

  • Two-tone cabinetry - dark lower cabinets and white upper cabinets
  • Molding detail on upper cabinets & hood exhaust
  • Combination of flat and raised panel cabinet doors
  • Stone slab counters
  • Dark wood floors
  • Classic subway tile
  • Non-intrusive pendant light fixtures above kitchen island
  • Island base repeats the raised cabinet door style of the perimeter cabinets (attention to detail!)

The kitchen color scheme is also right up my alley!  I love charcoal and white kitchens.  The layout is also ideal for cooking and entertaining.  This kitchen is truly a "hole-in-one"!
