I usually like to have our home decked for the holidays by the first week of December. Well, that didn't happen this year. We barely got the tree up a couple days ago! Nonetheless, ever so slowly, it's beginning to look like Christmas around here.
One thing I did get done this past weekend was add holiday decor to our children's bedroom, which our two boys share. Our oldest son is on an outdoor science school trip this entire week. I wanted to make sure their room was decorated with holiday touches before he left so he could look forward to it when he gets back.
Their little tree is up, complete with handmade photo crafts from over the years...

I draped "ho ho ho" felt gift sacks that we already had to dress up their headboards, and hung old stockings on their reading lights.
The misfits also came out to play...
There is nothing like falling asleep under the glow of twinkling lights!
