We are in the home stretch of the Spring 2016 One Room Challenge. Time is ticking to next week's room reveal!!!
My seemingly "jack-of-all-trades" hubby installed and wired a new electrical junction box to get the new light fixture centered above the table. He even maneuvered his way through the crawl space, adding a reinforcement bracket to ensure the fixture would hold! His DIY skills have really expanded with all the home improvement projects in our beloved fixer upper! :)
Because of my indecisiveness, I ordered the rug last minute - as in Monday. Now I'm holding my breath that it arrives in time for photographs. I had my eye on some Persian/Turkish rugs, but my practical nature kept going back to natural fiber?! Since this is a dining room, the durability (and price point) of a natural jute rug won out at least for now. I do love the texture it provides, and with two growing boys, I won't be concerned if something spills. BUT I made sure to get one that was jazzed up a bit! :) #loveanimalprints
Lastly, I would really like to thank YOU for following along with this makeover. I truly appreciate the time you spend here, and I've loved hearing your feedback along the way. Your comments have been so encouraging and supportive. This week started off extra special. I found out that the DIY project that gave us a run for our time was featured on the House Beautiful website! We have had a few hiccups in our dining room makeover, so the recognition was a nice surprise in this One Room Challenge experience. :)
