I just finished up a staging project for homeowners who are about to put their home on the market. This job initially started as a guest room re-decorating project, but quickly turned into a home staging project when the homeowners bought another house along the way!
Home staging is really a combination of floor planning and styling. I focused on highlighting the special features in each room, minimizing any "issues", creating open flow, and giving each room a purpose. I kept the styling simple and uncluttered, and worked with whatever the homeowners already had on hand. Since the home was being photographed for the MLS, I also brought in some fresh flowers, as well as a few accessories from my own stash to fill some vignettes.
