As our daily pace has slowed down A LOT, I have developed a newfound (re)appreciation for my surroundings - something I seemingly started to take for granted over the nearly seven years we've lived here. Getting outside for some fresh air along with clear blue skies was the perfect prescription for "surviving" the first month of sheltering-in-place. So many beautiful sights and chirping sounds! greeted me on my walk around our neighborhood today...
The natural foliage in our neighborhood is striking in its simplicity.
The trail behind our house has also been a great place to safely stroll as we continue to practice social distancing...
The trail connects the "lower and upper" residences of our neighborhood.
Such a tranquil path! I love having it in our backyard...
Home sweet home! While the extremely slow pace of our whole-house renovation has been frustrating, it has been a blessing to call this place home.
Despite the circumstances that have forced everyone to isolate and slow down, I hope that you are also finding a sliver of peace and comfort in your surroundings during this time. Keep hanging in there and stay safe!
